ATLIS role-play rated highly
At the 2008 Project Management Parade, ATLIS held a role-play that gave insight into decision-making processes. The Parade evaluation showed that the role-play was rated very highly, with visitors awarding an average mark of 7.3. We would like to thank all participants for their contribution to the role-play.

In March eight ATLIS members of staff took the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam. This exam is known for being very demanding. Therefore we are delighted to be able to report that all our candidates passed. We congratulate them and wish them every success with putting into practice all that they have learnt.
ATLIS awarded NMDB contract from Norwegian Hydrographic Service.
18 February 2008 – The Norwegian Hydrographic Service (NHS) has awarded ATLIS
a contract to deliver a system for management and distribution of high-resolution
bathymetric data (Norwegian Bathymetric Database NMDB).

On the 7th of January 2008, ATLIS consultants started at the Italian multinational Saipem S.p.A. Saipem is world-wide one of the largest contractors in the oil-industry. The ATLIS consultants are responsible for the layout of the project portfolio management system Clarity. This new task once again means international recognition of the expertise that ATLIS has.
ATLIS to develop Spatial Information architecture strategy for the Port of Rotterdam
The Port of Rotterdam are taking new steps to improve their ability to act on the ever changing and increasing demands of Spatial Information integration in their business processes. ATLIS is to develop a new Spatial Information architecture strategy for the harbour authorities. As an expert on Spatial Information systems ATLIS will develop a Spatial Information architecture strategy that will optimally meet the demands of the Port of Rotterdam now and in the future.
ATLIS supports the Province North-Holland with new Geo-ICT architecture
The Province North-Holland are moving over to a company wide Geo-ICT architecture. The new architecture will fulfil a broad scale of wishes, requirements and developments (for example NORA and INSPIRE). Also all modern ICT standards (W3C, ISO, OGC) will be supported, through which integration of geography in provincial processes and systems become possible. Furthermore a broad scale of new functional possibilities such as Download services, Edit services, Catalogue services and Mobile applications become possible.
ATLIS gives an ORACLE SPATIAL course in collaboration with Vijfhart.
This course will cover the storage, syntax and semantics of geometric data
types supported by Oracle Spatial. Participants learn to work with Oracle's
native data type for spatial data (SDO_GEOMETRY) and the geometries that it
supports.
